4-H Youth Educator - Fluvanna County

4-H Youth Development program seeks individual to work with 4-H staff, youth, adults, families, and community resources to deliver and evaluate 4-H educational programs designed to teach life skills to children and families. Programs will include educational activities, contests, and camps in support of the 4-H program with special emphasis on in school and out of school programming. Work will include assisting the Extension Agent, 4-H Youth Development, to provide training and management for volunteers. Must be willing to adhere to the Virginia Cooperative Extension Civil Rights and Equal Opportunity Compliance Program.

Knowledge and/or experience in working with children and adults in an educational setting. Ability to work independently and in collaboration with other professionals and volunteers. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to deliver educational and promotional materials. Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Word, Publisher and internet applications.

Knowledge of the 4-H program desirable.
