Job Description

This position, reporting to the Head of Support Desk Operations, provides A/V support for the classrooms and shared spaces within the libraries. The successful candidate will regularly assist with, and troubleshoot, classroom technology configurations, inventory of classroom technology, and booting machines for updates. This position acts as a library representative, extending beyond the university community, by providing exemplary customer service and A/V support for library special events.

Required Qualifications

-Bachelor's or Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience in A/V support
-Basic knowledge of A/V technology including cameras, microphones, and computers
-Experience communicating with a diverse customer base in a support role via phone, in person, or electronically
-Experience collaborating with multiple IT support teams
-Must have a strong ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and meet deadlines
-Must be able to work independently and without supervision
-Must work a flexible schedule according to library events (events are scheduled 7 days per week 8am to 11pm including school breaks and holidays)

Preferred Qualifications

-Previous experience supporting classroom A/V
-Working knowledge of Google collaborative tools such as gmail, docs, and sheets
-Experience working in an education environment

$17.81-$19.00 dependent on qualifications and experience

Additional Information

  • Work schedule:  average 30 hours per week/Monday-Friday 12pm-6pm or as arranged (will be required to work alternate hours dependent on library events)
  • The successful candidate will be required to have a criminal conviction check.
