VCU's Facilities Management is seeking to hire an Accounts Representative for their Parking and Transportation unit. The Accounts Representative assists with the daily operations of the customer service offices by assisting customers and managing customer parking accounts.
The Accounts Representative responds to customer inquiries in person, online and via telephone, in a timely and respectable manner by practicing first call resolution, preventing call escalation, and adhering to service procedures and guidelines; reconciles cash, check, and credit card payments issued for decal purchases and citation payments using end-of-day reports produced using the Cardinal Ticket Track System, decal permit printer, POS terminal, cash register, etc.; and manages assigned permit inventory in compliance with the established departmental guidelines.
Minimum Hiring Standards
Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality production
Ability to type at least 45wpm
Possess computer software skills
Valid Virginia Driver's license or ability to obtain one upon employment
Previous experience handling numerous customer driven inquiries and escalating when necessary required
Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU

Some college coursework preferred
Considerable experience in a professional office environment
Considerable experience in handling numerous customer driven inquiries
