The Department of Public Health Sciences at the University of Virginia is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Accreditation Specialist.

The Accreditation Specialist will play a critical role in managing the accreditation processes for the Master of Public Health Program, aligned with the Accreditation Criteria of the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH). This position involves working closely with the Accreditation Committee to ensure ongoing compliance and enhancement of program quality.

Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate and coordinate planning and operational activities to support accreditation processes.
  • Assist in drafting policies, developing procedures, setting timelines, implementing program reviews, and conducting learning assessments to measure program success.
  • Prepare written documentation including policies, program descriptions, and academic guidelines.
  • Deliver presentations on accreditation materials and progress.
  • Ensure compliance with institutional policies and procedures relevant to program activities and objectives.
  • Conduct and support quantitative and qualitative research, including survey research. Familiarity with SAS software is advantageous.
  • Engage in social media management and outreach activities to promote the program and its objectives.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree
  • Experience: At least four years of relevant experience or Master's degree with at least one year of relevant experience. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.


This position is a restricted position and is dependent upon project need, availability of funding and performance. This is an Exempt level, benefited position. For more information on the benefits at UVA, visit hr.virginia.edu/benefits .

This position will remain open until filled. The University will perform background checks on all new hires prior to employment. A completed pre-employment health screen is required for this position prior to employment.

This position is located in Charlottesville, VA

Anticipated Hiring Range:

$55,000 - $70,000 annually, based on education and experience.
