Adjunct Faculty - Management & Entrepreneurship, School of Business

The Department of Management & Entrepreneurship in the School of Business at Virginia Commonwealth University is recruiting a pool of adjunct faculty applicants to teach for the 2022-2023 academic year. Should funding for such adjunct teaching positions become available, the Department of Management will contact persons in the pool whose credentials match our teaching needs. This pool will be accessed only when an opening arises. This posting will remain active until June 30, 2023. After June 30, 2023, you will need to reapply to the updated posting if you would like to remain in the adjunct pool.

Note that we are unable to hire applicants who are not already in the pool. Applicants should upload a cover letter, resume/CV, and contact information for three references as part of the application process.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Ability to teach at least one of the following courses: Strategic Management, Principles of Management, Leadership, Negotiations, Human Resource Management or other courses in the discipline as needed.

Required Qualifications:
A masters of Business Administration (MBA) or MS in a field closely related to management or a Bachelor degree in a field closely related to management and relevant work experience in an area related to the course being taught.

Strong oral presentation and communication skills.

Significant and substantive professional business experience in an area related to the course being taught.
Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.

Preferred Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Management or a closely related discipline (e.g., human resources, industrial/ organizational psychology) at the time the appointment begins.

Prior teaching experience is particularly welcome.
