New River Community College (NRCC) is a comprehensive community college located in the New River Valley of Virginia. Manage the day-to-day office related activities for Facilities Services, including all incoming calls and requests. Provide clerical support to the department, including completion of all purchase requisitions for the department. Assist with central shipping and receiving functions and other tasks when needed. Implement and maintain automated maintenance management programs, including equipment history and parts inventory; scheduled preventative maintenance and records of work performed by the department and outside contractors. Assure contract agreements are met and purchases services are performed. Maintain records and files including purchase requisitions, policies and procedures, and contractor work invoices. Must be able to lift 25 pounds. Assist with other tasks as assigned by the Manager. Work schedule will consist of 29 hours per week.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree or combination of work experience and coursework that would be equivalent to an associate degree. Demonstrated ability to use various computer applications including Microsoft Word and Excel. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population including students, faculty, staff and the general public in a professional environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Work experience in an educational environment.
