Job Description
Works independently with general direction from the Unit Coordinator as office manager providing clerical/administrative support to unit/area faculty and staff. Maintains and reconciles financial, personnel, accouting,|and inventory records. Effectively communicates with diverse individuals and groups.
Required Qualifications
Training/experience in performing tasks that support the operation of a professional office environment; demonstrated computer skills in word processing applications, database management, electronic spreadsheets, basic accounting skills, email and the Internet; strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to prioritize and manage time effectively for performing multiple tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous administrative support experience; demonstrated experience maintaining accounts and personnel records; ability to comply with policies and procedures with little supervision; strong knowledge of basic accounting principles, experience with Excel database, Banner, Quicken and basic understanding of Commonwealth of Virginia accounting guidelines.

Additional Information
Due to office building hours of 8:00 to 4:30 p.m., this position has a 30 minute lunch daily.
The successful candidate will be required to have a criminal conviction check.
