Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia’s capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. Reynolds is seeking adjunct instructors to teach American Sign Language on campus. This is a part-time adjunct teaching faculty-ranked appointment. Salary commensurate with the experience of the applicant, in graduate education in the field, related full-time occupational employment, and full-time equivalent teaching.

• A master’s degree in the teaching field or master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours of coursework in the teaching field. Qualifying academic degrees and coursework must be awarded by and/or completed with a regionally accredited institution.
• Demonstrated commitment to student engagement and inclusive teaching practices.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

• Experience teaching in the discipline, especially at the college level
• Experience teaching in in-person, hybrid, and online formats.
• Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive working and learning environment.
• Familiarity with learning management systems
