The Office of the Attorney General is seeking an experienced civil litigation attorney to serve as an Assistant Attorney General in the Trial Section’s General Civil Unit. We offer the challenge and opportunity of public service, work-life balance, and an attractive compensation package inclusive of paid time off, paid holidays, health/dental/life insurance, retirement and more, including the opportunity to regularly work on new and unique matters of statewide importance.

• The position requires exceptional written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in time management, the ability to manage a challenging caseload, and a willingness to assist and supervise others.
• Candidates must also demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure and adjust priorities without close supervision.
• Ability to work independently, but also closely with a team of dedicated attorneys and staff in a collegial environment.

Additional Considerations

A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of civil litigation experience in federal or state court is preferred; similar litigation experience will be considered.
Through this posting, we are seeking applicants at both junior and senior levels, with junior levels having a minimum of at least three years of practice.
