The attorneys in these positions will provide both advice and litigation services to Virginia’s environmental agencies as assigned. Duties of these positions include significant client contact; handling civil and administrative litigation; review of environmental-related legislation and regulations; drafting official opinions for the Attorney General; and other duties.
These positions are based in Richmond, Virginia reporting directly to the Section Chief of the Environmental Section.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must have a demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team. Excellent interpersonal skills are required, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills, technical drafting skills, and the ability to analyze and manage complex cases and transactions. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience, including first and second chair trial work in both state and/or federal courts and experience involving Virginia and/or federal environmental agencies. Starting salary and position level to be commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications. Admission to the Virginia State Bar is required PRIOR to commencing employment.
