TECHNOLOGY AND PROCUREMENT LAW SECTION
DUTIES: The Office of the Attorney General of Virginia is seeking a contract attorney to join the Technology and Procurement Law section. This attorney will have primary responsibility for representing client agencies in a variety of government and commercial transactions. Core duties will include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts; reviewing solicitations for goods and services; advising on issues relating to contract management and contract disputes; advising on issues relating technology and technology related procurement; communicating directly with client staff and executives; and advising on a variety of contract-related legal compliance matters.
Minimum Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must have graduated from an accredited law school and be admitted to the Virginia State Bar or eligible for admission. A minimum of five years of transactional experience is preferred but similar or other relevant experience will be considered. This position requires exceptional analytical, organizational, and oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects, including complex transactions.

Please note that this position will be based in either Richmond, Virginia, Fairfax, Virginia, Roanoke, Virginia, or Abingdon, Virginia. Base location will be assigned once a successful candidate is hired into the position and is dependent upon area of residence of candidate.
