Job Description
The Assistant Coach is responsible for supporting the Head Coach in advancing the mission, values, and competitive success of Radford University Athletics. This position contributes directly to the development, performance, recruitment, and retention of student-athletes while promoting academic excellence, personal growth, and compliance with all institutional and governing body standards. The Assistant Coach reports directly to the Head Coach and fulfills sport-specific responsibilities consistent with Radford University, the Department of Athletics, the Big South Conference, and NCAA policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
An advanced degree in a related field, or training and work experience which equates to an advanced degree. Coaching and/or recruiting experience in men's soccer at the collegiate level is required. Ability to demonstrate and teach advanced skills, knowledge, and strategies of the game of soccer, knowledge of NCAA recruiting and compliance procedures; ability to work independently without direct supervision; excellent interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills, and effective written and oral communications skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience at the Division I level. An advanced degree in a related field, or training and work experience which equates to an advanced degree.
