Job Description
Manages four satellite operations: Squires Food Court: Burger '37 and Au Bon Pain, Graduate Life Center (GLC) ABP, Goodwin Hall ABP, and Johnston Student Center Viva Market, under the direction of the Associate Director. Responsibilities include execution of menu plan, budget plan, personnel plan, franchise operations and reports, supervision, counseling, training and development of employees, customer relations, safety and sanitation, and the security and maintenance of buildings and equipment. Ensures a safe and sanitary environment for customers and employees and that all policies and procedures are followed. Ensures that all corporate standards are being followed on a daily basis. Ensures a high level of customer service at all times in the dining facility.
Required Qualifications
Experience in higher education and university meal plans, Business Management, Hospitality or related program, or Culinary Certification program.
Strong and successful management and supervision experience in a high volume, multiple item menu, retail and/or institutional food service environment and electronic menu/recipe management.
Experience and working knowledge of commercial kitchen and food service operations; national franchise operations; budgeting and operations management.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel and public; excellent supervision and leadership abilities; and excellent customer services skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Nutrition, Culinary Arts or related field preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of computers including Microsoft Suite, Outlook, and automated payroll, and automated food ordering/inventory systems.
