Job Description:
Minimum Qualifications:The Department of Psychology at Old Dominion University invites applicants for an Assistant Professor of Human Factors Psychology. The search is open to all areas of potential research and teaching interests in Human Factors; preference will be given to candidates with a research program that complements and expand current Human Factors faculty research areas in the HFES-accredited PhD program (e.g., Human-AI Teaming in Security, Transportation, or Healthcare). This faculty member will be responsible for:
- Conducting high quality, programmatic research.
- Seeking external research funding.
- Teaching undergraduate courses to support the undergraduate psychology curriculum at ODU.
- Teaching graduate courses in the Psychology Department.
- Mentoring M.S. and Ph.D. students.
Additional Considerations:
Preference will be given to candidates with a research program that complements and expands that of current faculty within the Department of Psychology.
