Job Duties

The Career Alumni Relations Coordinator is a 2 yr. Grant-funded position that provides direct support for high priority Presidential and University Transformation initiatives, most importantly the implementation of the CRM Slate. The Initiative seeks to increase enrollment, enhance graduation and full cycle communication with students through the customer relation management system Slate.

This Grant Funded Position will be in charge of the following:

10% Responds to instructions and feedback of supervisors in a constructive manner in order to improve personal performance.

50% Design, build, update, and maintain all Slate-hosted applications, forms, and application decision processes including: checklists per population, reader bins and forms, document uploads/storage, print and electronic admission and scholarship letters, releasing of admission decisions

20% Coordinate accurate and timely data sharing between Slate and the SIS, along with other institutional or application systems, including the import and reconciliation of all admissions prospect and inquiry data.

10% Serve as point of contact for Slate questions and concerns.

10% Responds to other duties as assigned (ad hoc assignments) as directed to ensure smooth operation of the department/office and agency

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years of experience in enrollment management in higher education. Demonstrated commitment to education and student excellence. Proven skills in leadership, relationship building, and program development as well as a strong commitment to and understanding of the dynamics of a multi-ethnic, diverse institution of higher education, valuing the ideas and contributions of others. Experience should include student recruitment, enrollment management, academic advising, program development, strategic planning, operational oversight and fiscal management. Demonstrate credibility to work well under pressure and to consistently meet deadlines while maintaining a high attention for details. Maintain, analyze, and interpret data to identify opportunities and develop programs and strategies to increase enrollment. Use data to assess the effectiveness of recruitment activities, student targeting and develop department and personnel goals that align with the University's strategic enrollment goals.
