The Department of Athletics’ Academic Affairs is hiring part-time Class Checkers. The role of a Class Checker is to monitor and record class attendance of student-athletes. Class Checkers will receive a schedule of classes for which to check attendance of designated student-athletes.
Class Checkers receive training from the Academic Affairs staff regarding the expectations for monitoring, recording, and reporting the class attendance of student-athletes.
Class Checkers must have reliable transportation to UVA.
This is a wage position which is not eligible for leave or other benefits and is limited to 1500 hours of work in a year. For more information, refer to the Wage Employment link: http://uvapolicy.virginia.edu/policy/HRM-029 .
Anticipated Position Compensation: $11.41 - $14.00 hourly.

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Several years of work experience in any field
Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and be reliable
Ability to demonstrate integrity
Punctuality (must arrive to designated class location 15 minutes before class starts and stay for 20 minutes after class starts)
Strong communication and organizational skills
Must have reliable transportation to UVA
Microsoft Office
