The Division of Traffic Operations Business Office is currently seeking an organized individual that will provide daily oversight to ensure compliance with contract administration and contract procurement activities with knowledge of and ability to interpret state and federal procurement and contract laws, regulations, policies, and procedures related to transportation project development and implementation. Coordinate the delivery of the contracted services and ensure the services are delivered in compliance with contract terms and conditions. Recognize and address issues in the procurement planning process, evaluate consulting firms, and participate in negotiation activities. The selected incumbent will also be responsible for administering contracts, processing consultant invoices, and facilitating in procurement and contract renewal activities.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of and ability to interpret state and federal laws, regulations, policies, programs and procedures related to the procurement of transportation contracts. Experience reflecting knowledge of procurement policies, to include professional and non-professional services. Ability to read and interpret contract terms and conditions, special provisions, scope of work and fee proposals, as well as an understanding of Traffic Operations projects. Experience reflecting the ability to effectively negotiate elements of Traffic Operations contracts.
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in business administration, public administration; equivalent experience or training may substitute for degree. Experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team involving the procurement and administration of professional and non-professional consulting service contracts.
