The Coordinator / Facilities Maintenance will report directly to and assist the Associate AD / Facility Maintenance and Capital Projects with the management and preventative maintenance for all Athletics Department Facilities. These duties will include Electrical, Refrigeration, Preventative Maintenance, Mechanical Services, Controls/ICM and Kitchen Equipment support. Incumbent will serve as informal supervisor and provide work request review for customer request. Position will directly oversee work of Trades Technicians and contract labor in the completion of departmental work request. Position will schedule preventative maintenance and corrective action work assignments. Ensure the execution of work order assignments in coordination with other Facilities Units and with designated Athletics contacts in order that all projects are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner. Incumbent will evaluate and recommend improvements to the Associate AD / Facility Maintenance and Capital Projects for the current Electrical, Refrigeration, Mechanical Services, building controls/ICM, Preventative Maintenance and kitchen equipment areas of Athletics.
Required Qualifications
Considerable experience in the general construction maintenance field.
Strong supervisory skills with demonstrated ability to direct the work of subordinates and contract labor required.
Ability to lay out new construction, interpret drawings and blueprints, prepare cost estimates and project PM schedules and to interact with diverse members of the University Community.
Must have the ability to safely and frequently move and handle heavy objects weighing 50 pounds or more; ability to climb and work from elevated work stations such as ladders and scaffolds; ability to work for long periods of time standing, walking, reaching, bending, pushing/pulling.

Ability to communicate effectively, have good team work skills, and be able to understand, comprehend and follow directions in the workplace.
Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions, including extreme temperatures.
Will be required to work additional hours/shifts to meet the needs of the department.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a large commercial or university setting.
Knowledge of state purchasing guidelines and procedures.
Ability to use various computer programs such as Excel, Word, and Access.
