Clinical Pharmacist - Inpatient Internal Medicine Rotating (wage)

This position is a wage role with no medical benefits, working 2-3 day/evening shifts per week as needed (potential for full-time hours). Must be willing to work intermittent critical care night shifts as needed (0-4 shifts per month) depending on department need. Potential for cross-training opportunities in a variety of specialty areas outside the critical care units including the Emergency Department, Cardiology, Transplant Services, Benign Hematology, and Surgical Services.

• Provides clinical pharmaceutical care to patients
• Enhances the quality of delivery of care.
• Demonstrates proficiency in Pharmacy distributive services.
• Supports the educational and professional development of the Pharmacy department.
• Engages in professional self-development.
• In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

Position Compensation Range: $50.43 - $80.69 Hourly

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor's in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. Degree required.

Experience: PGY-1 residency required or equivalent hospital experience (3 years). PGY-2 residency in Critical Care or Emergency Medicine is preferred.

Licensure: Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Pharmacy License required. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires sitting for prolonged periods; Repetitive motion: typing. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull
