Virginia Peninsula Community College is a two-year institution of higher education established as a part of a statewide system of community colleges. It primarily serves the residents of the cities of Hampton, Newport News, Poquoson, and Williamsburg, and the counties of James City and York.

The duties of a clinical dentist at the Virginia Peninsula Community College Dental Hygiene Clinic include the following: supervision of patient care, patient consultation for dental services, referral as required for follow-up patient care, and instruction of dental hygiene students to meet clinical program objectives. The dentist assigned to a clinical course works with faculty to prepare dental hygiene students with the skills and competencies required to provide total patient care and services in an effective and efficient manner.
Minimum Qualifications:
Successful candidates will have an earned DDS or DMD degree.
Must possess an unrestricted DEA Pharmacy License.
Must possess a current, unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Experience working with dental hygienists.
Demonstrated ability to instruct in a dental hygiene program.
Experience with digital radiography.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work at all campus locations.
