Job Duties
Assigned to customer service position at the front counter and answering the phones requiring a high level of personal interaction. Also assigned to Court operational responsibilities, i.e. ensures Court’s instructions are executed and legal papers prepared with accuracy and in accordance with appropriate policies and procedures; assist with planning, scheduling, and monitoring activities to coincide with the needs of the Court, other criminal justice agencies, and the public.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will assist customers with filings and questions at the window and on the phone, perform data entry utilizing the Courts Case Management System (JCMS), receipting payments, filing, scanning documents, processing court documents, and any additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
The individual must be detailed oriented, organized, highly accurate, and excellent at follow-up while juggling multiple tasks in a fast-paced office. Professionalism, punctuality, reliability, teamwork, discretion, and integrity while working with highly sensitive and confidential matters are required.
Minimum Qualifications
The most competitive candidates will possess:
High school diploma or equivalent required; business courses preferred but not mandatory. Requires knowledge and skills in customer service and general office operations and procedures (i.e. typing, filing, data entry, and receiving payments). Most competitive applicants will have experience in customer service, office operations, working in a team environment, and managing competing priorities. Banking experience a plus. A POSITIVE ATTITUDE IS A MUST!
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Work is primarily performed in an office and courtroom setting. Duties require the ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and operate standard office equipment. The employee may be required to lift or carry items weighing up to approximately 10 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made.
