Job Duties
DGS Information Systems and Services has an opportunity for a dynamic IT professional with a history of effective and varied customer and device support in a fast-paced team environment. Daily responsibilities include help desk ticket management, client support and break fix at the DGS Division of Consolidated Laboratory Services (DCLS).
Responsibilities:
•Assist in the coordination and resolution of computer and technology related issues using the existing help desk system and other available tools
•Install hardware & software
•Assist with set up, configuration, installation, and maintenance of end point devices
•Provide end user support for agency-managed installations/devices on various platforms and hardware to include PCs/laptops, printers, etc.
•Respond to requests for assistance; effectively elicit information from users, diagnose and correct issues
•Assist with agency endpoint inventory reconciliation
•Support on-going laboratory information management system (LIMS) implementation and maintenance
•Create and update process documentation
•Provide quality customer service to the users of the DCLS Division under the Department of General Services.
Minimum Qualifications
•Experience supporting Windows 7, 10 and PC/laptop hardware setup, configuration, installation and support including peripheral devices such as printers, drives, monitors
•History of direct support of Microsoft Office, Adobe, Citrix Receiver, Symantec Endpoint Protection, KACE, etc
•Able to troubleshoot, track and isolate client issues
•Client based IT support experience
•Well organized with attention to detail – Excellent verbal and written communication skills is a must
•Strong interpersonal skills to interface with customers, vendors and team members
•Degree in Information Systems, engineering or related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
Preferred Qualifications:
•Industry certifications such as Certified Dell Technician, CompTIA A+, etc.
•Working knowledge or laboratory information management systems (LIMS) or building automation systems (BAS) and related endpoints is highly preferred.
