The Digital unit within the Office of Communications at the University of Virginia is seeking a Digital Marketing Coordinator to help our digital team manage projects, implement digital strategies and campaigns, and maintain project management, media planning systems and assist with analytics and reporting.
Reporting to the Director of Digital Marketing, the Digital Marketing Coordinator will execute and coordinate various day-to-day digital marketing responsibilities, assist in managing larger reporting efforts, and support the team in planning and deploying marketing efforts across the larger department. The ideal candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment and have an eye for detail, strong communication and collaboration skills and sincere interest in digital marketing communications.
Responsibilities:
Support the Director of Digital Marketing and Digital Marketing Associate in executing digital plans for internal clients and programs.
Support day to day digital marketing activities, working with other colleagues within the Digital unit as well as Creative, Marketing and other teams, in support of key priorities.
Provide project reports and presentations within the department including to Director of Digital Marketing, AVP Digital Strategy and other leadership as needed.
Provide support to Marketing Executive Director and AVP Marketing as needed.
Provide data and performance insights to support our department’s business goals.
Gather and interpret data from owned and paid campaigns.
Proficiency in Excel, Keynote/PowerPoint and Word required.
Experience with analytics.
Required Experience:
Bachelor’s in Communications, Media, Marketing, Business, Analytics or related field.
At least one year of related experience.
Skills and Competencies:
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Results-oriented and self-motivated, with strong attention to detail
Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Closely follow trends in the digital marketing space
Strong knowledge of Analytics is a plus
Deadline driven
Able to see the big picture without missing the details, quality and consistency are of high importance.

Anticipated Hiring Range:
$50,000 to $55,000, commensurate with experience

ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY COMMUNICATIONS DIGITAL UNIT
The Digital Unit is responsible for managing University’s core digital channels, working closely with colleagues on the Marketing & Brand Strategy, News & Content, and Licensing teams to implement successful digital and social strategies and campaigns. The Digital Unit comprises three verticals: Digital Content, Digital Marketing, and Development & User Experience. Together, we create, implement, and optimize digital content on UVA’s social media platforms, digital advertising, and art for UVA Today. We plan, develop and maintain fundamental University digital properties, including virginia.edu, UVA Today, the University’s central brand guidelines portal, and others.
