Job Description
The Director of Advancement & Revenue Generation for Athletics provides strategic leadership for philanthropic fundraising and revenue-enhancing initiatives with a primary focus on building a robust leadership-level donor pipeline, securing current-use funding, engaging high-impact volunteers, and growing corporate partnerships. This position develops and executes integrated donor engagement, philanthropy board, and revenue strategies that increase leadership-level giving, broaden participation, and ensure sustainable financial support for Athletics.
This position is a key member of both the Advancement and Alumni Relations team and the Athletics Leadership Team, working in close collaboration with the Director of Athletics, the Director of Athletics Stewardship, University Advancement colleagues, campus partners, and external stakeholders. The role emphasizes identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding leadership and major donors, and strengthening engagement pathways that move donors toward increased levels of commitment.
Required Qualifications
• Advanced degree in a related field or equivalent education and experience.
• 3+ years of experience in fundraising, athletic development, or a related field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for relationship-building.
• Extensive travel, evening and weekend work required.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Demonstrated experience in athletics advancement in higher education setting.
• Knowledge of NCAA Division I athletics and donor engagement strategies.
