Job Description
The School of Teacher Education and Leadership at Radford University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in elementary inclusive education to start Fall 2026 with primary responsibilities for teaching and field supervision in the undergraduate elementary teacher preparation program. The program is grounded in a model of inclusive practice, collaboration, and co-teaching with special educators. Candidates graduate with concurrent endorsements in elementary and special education.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must have:
• a doctoral degree in education from an accredited university by the contract start date
• a teaching endorsement in elementary education
• at least 3 years of public-school teaching experience
• expertise in mathematics and instructional methods for elementary grades
• working knowledge of evidence-based practices and high-leverage practices
• a demonstrated commitment to inclusive practices that support and engage learners from a variety of backgrounds with diverse academic needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional desirable qualifications include:
• experience with co-teaching to improve educational outcomes for diverse students, including students with disabilities, in elementary classrooms
• expertise in instructional design, assessment, and classroom management
• expertise needed to teach and coach inclusive elementary math education
• experience teaching at the collegiate level
• experience supporting teacher candidates in preK-6 field settings
• a background supporting diverse student populations.
