Job Duties
This position ensures a clean, safe, and healthy environment within a hospital setting by performing daily cleaning and sanitizing duties. This role directly contributes to infection control, patient comfort, and overall safety by maintaining high standards of cleanliness in patient rooms, common areas, restrooms, office areas, and other facility spaces. Responsibilities may include waste disposal, floor care, dusting, disinfecting surfaces, and reporting maintenance needs.
Successful Incumbent should be able to:
1) Maintain floors: hallways, residents area, dining area, showers rooms using Wet Floor signs an double-bucket procedures as scheduled according to EAC work schedule: buff, strip, refinish and vacuum, employee needs to be flexible to cross train in other areas such as carpet cleaning and upholstery cleaning as needed scheduled.
2) Wash beds and mattresses thoroughly clean.
3) Clean and sanitize showers and bathrooms, fixtures, hand rails, commodes, sinks mirrors, curtains, and mats daily, and as needed/scheduled; replenish supplies daily
4) Thoroughly clean food units, microwaves, refrigerators, and water fountains daily, wipe off tables and chairs daily
5) Thoroughly clean window sill, blinds, vents, and door knobs; check and adjust curtains daily and as needed.
Observance and inspection at 100% level required.

Additional Considerations
• Housekeeping experience in healthcare or institutional setting, preferred.
• Experience in training and mentoring new housekeeping staff, preferred.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards specific to healthcare facilities, such as those from OSHA and state health departments, preferred
