Job Description - Ethnography Undergraduate Research Assistant
As a member of a research team, this part-time research assistant will work on an ethnographic study exploring housing security issues in Alaska. This includes research on homelessness, overcrowding, cold climate housing design and building practices, and the use of remote methods for collaborating with diverse stakeholders and building experts in times of crisis. Job duties will involve training for research with human subjects, assisting with editing and coding interview transcripts, reading relevant literature, writing bibliographic summaries, and meeting weekly with the research team. This will include an opportunity to write and present ethnographic research at a professional conference.

Demonstrated attention to detail
Proven ability to read written materials to find thematic patterns
Demonstrated ability to synthesize multiple sources of information
Upper-level undergraduate research experience
Advanced/articulate written communication skills
Ability to conduct literature reviews in social science areas
Research experience using qualitative data analysis
Excellent time management, and strong organizational skills
$14.00 - $16.00 per hour
