The University of Virginia is seeking a Facility Coordinator for the Student Health and Wellness Center. Facility Coordinators assist with a variety of administrative services and project management regarding facilities maintenance. They help plan, coordinate, and execute maintenance, housekeeping, and repairs of the facility. They interact with customers, gather cost information, make recommendations to Facility Assistant Managers and Managers, and compile materials and equipment. Work is assigned at the task level, and performed with limited independence.
The Facility Coordinator responsibilities are to:
Provide direct oversight of our large part-time student staff that are responsible for managing emergency response, support activities within the facility, leading other staff crews, program support, reservation support, and seamless customer service.
Support and assist in oversight of onsite university events held at the SHW facility.
Handle customer issues, facility initiatives, and aid in advocacy to ensure membership value and to support auxiliary revenue-based customer satisfaction focus
Uphold policy development and enforcement.
Submit work orders, maintains maintenance records, assist in facility safety and maintenance audits, monitor work order progress, and ensure work is completed safely with minimal impact to customers.
Ensure daily readiness of staff and monitor compliance with safety procedures as related to emergency preparedness.
Be able to work with software and technology equipment that supports daily operations including Medicat, 25Live reservation system, and various other inventory tracking platforms.
Work closely with the Assistant Manager on Supply Room operations, maintain medical supply inventory, reporting, and surveillance, etc. as needed.
Monitor and track daily facility usage to include most aspects of scheduling activities in SHW, tracking expenditures, collecting fees, and maintaining necessary financial records.
Maintain positive relationships between service providers, such as Facilities Management employees and vendors on contract, and those who utilize facilities.
Deal with external customer issues, ensure completion of service level agreements and various supplier contracts through quality control checks.
Perform ther job responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
The anticipated hiring range for this position will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will pass both a background check and a drug and health screen. This is a nonexempt-level position with UVa benefits . Employees’ benefits package highlights include:

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Will require frequent traveling, standing, and climbing stairs to access buildings and facilities in order to assess conditions and review facility projects. The position will require occasional light lifting, bending and stooping, in addition to the use of desktop computers in an office environment.
