This position will assist the Hampton Roads AREC in the implementation and maintenance of laboratory and field experiments affecting nursery production, plant pathology, weed science, turfgrass or biological systems engineering during the 2023 growing season. Successful candidate(s) will assist with planting, fertilizing, mowing, or data collection in the field or assisting with experiments in a lab. This is an off campus position at the Hampton Roads Agricultural Research and Extension Center (AREC), located in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Required Qualifications
Basic computer skills (MS Office). Ability to work outside, regardless of the weather.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in an agricultural research setting; Experience with data collection, entering, and analysis. Experience mowing and applying fertilizer would be beneficial.
