The VCU Financial Reporting department has an exciting opportunity for a Fixed Asset Fiscal Technician to join our team!

Summary:

The Fixed Asset Fiscal Technician will assist in maintaining the University’s fixed asset system. This includes but is not
limited to:
  • Assist in recording additions to fixed assets
  • Maintain supporting documentation on capitalized assets
  • Monitor paid invoices for fixed assets to add to the University’s inventory listing
  • Assist departments in managing and certifying their inventory listings
  • Monitor the Higher Education Equipment Trust Fund (HEETF) indexes
  • Assist in compiling HEETF reports and reconciliations
  • Verify data from the student workers in the RPA system
  • Assist in preparation of training materials for the fixed asset system
  • Prepare journal entries related to fixed asset purchases
  • Maintain and update equipment locations
  • Supervise and help student workers barcoding equipment
  • Monitor department email account
