Position primary purpose and general responsibilities: The Graphic Designer will contribute directly to advancing diversity and inclusion at VCU as a Creative Designer. They will support the maintenance of the division's identity and reinforce its brand through the creation of various collateral, systems and other visual communications solutions. This position reports to the IES Director of Executive Communications.
Required Qualifications
Demonstrable expertise in contemporary design including the creative use of type, illustration and photography as design elements
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite
Proven high levels of creativity and independent judgment
Ability to balance multiple priorities
A respect for, knowledge of, and skills to engage with people from different cultures and backgrounds
Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse, team environment
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of VCU's brand standards and guidelines
Experience managing digital assets
Experience with photography and videography
Basic knowledge of web design and development
Some experience working in a university setting
Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and/or experience
