The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Cardiology is seeking a member to join our comprehensive Advanced Heart Failure Program at the Pauley Heart Center. The successful candidate will dedicate their time to care for patients with heart failure, heart transplantation and mechanical circulatory support devices. Also, they will integrate into the multidisciplinary team and participate in teaching, quality improvement and outreach projects.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Teaching: To support teaching directly via interactions with Fellows, Housestaff and non-physician professionals. Periodically will be expected to present appropriate reviews in patient management discussions at Cardiology and Department of Internal Medicine conferences. In addition, will be expected to participate in University Continuing Medical Education programs for practicing physicians which is important to enhancing patient referrals.
Research: To support clinical research protocols as needed.
Service: The successful candidate will be expected to participate in quality, safety, and efficiency initiatives. Formal leadership positions may be considered based on prior experience and rank.
Clinical: Will primarily be dedicated to the outpatient, inpatient, catheterization laboratory and consultative services.
Other: Submit billing and document care as required by the organization. Abide by all medical staff requirements.
