We’re currently searching for a Housekeeper to join our Schiffert Health Center team in Blacksburg, VA to help us in our mission. So, if you’re highly motivated to help keep a student health center looking its best, please keep reading.

HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE ROLE:
1) You’ll be joining the Schiffert Health Center team; a department centered on the health and wellbeing of our student population by caring for them in their times of illness or injuries.
2) You’ll be reporting to the Housekeeper Lead, in a Regular twelve-month, 100% housekeeping staff appointment. 
3) You’ll be responsible to perform duties related to maintaining and cleaning the health center facility while complying with appropriate industry regulations and safety requirements. Responsible for meeting high standards of housekeeping in patient exam rooms, offices, bathrooms and public areas.
4) You’ll have the chance to grow and take advantage of a developmental plan with opportunities to advance within the Department and the Division.
5) You’ll be offered a base compensation package of $33,280 along with a comprehensive benefits package which includes health insurance, paid leave, retirement, tuition assistance, VT discounts, and so much more!

Required Qualifications
• Knowledge of basic housekeeping standards.
• Experience working with the public and/or customer service experience.
• Must have the ability to read written instructions and comprehend verbal instructions.
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
• Be able to lift a minimum of fifty pounds.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working in a health care setting.
• Previous experience operating professional cleaning equipment.
