The HR Web Data Analyst & Webmaster will work as part of a team in the UVA HR Communications & Marketing department and report to the Director of HR Communications & Marketing.

Web data analyst duties include building reporting dashboards with data from the two careers websites and providing analys e s of that data to help leadership make informed decisions on recruitment campaign optimization, and improve website functionality to enhanc e the user experience. The position collaborates with various HR departments and external vendors to develop comprehensive reporting, and works closely with HR Communications & Marketing teammates to develop insightful and actionable analyses.

Webmaster duties include managing the organization's main HR website including routine maintenance, creating and editing webpages, addressing accessibility, and building new web components to meet evolving team needs.

Th is position offers the ability to work across many technology platforms, and allows for creativity and growth with the diversity of opportunit ies to provide ideas and recommendations to improve the effectiveness of UVA HR’s various websites, and to elevate the experiences of our many users.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Analytics & Reporting :

  • Generate Looker Studio web analytics quarterly reports for two UVA C areers W ebsites track ing user engagement and overall site usage to help inform web needs and recruitment marketing decisions .


  • A nalyze report data to identify trends and patterns such webpage engagement levels , keywords driving the most traffic, and which marketing campaigns drive the most applications.


  • Partner with digital marketing, recruiting, and technology stakeholder teams to understand site results and explain user behavior .


  • Update dashboards monthly with paid digital marketing results from vendors .


  • Educate internal teams on self-serve website report options available on-demand.


  • Make web optimizations and site roadmap recommendations based on web traffic data .


  • Participate in the design and development of future career website initiatives that address evolving enhancements for candidate capture


Webmaster :

  • Maintain UVA HR web site ensuring it consistently meets organizational needs and requirements.


  • Manage overall web site health including accessibility, usability, page speed , and performance. Address issues found in SiteImprove weekly.


  • Design and develop new website components to address evolving team needs and enhance the user experience.


  • Assist content managers with the development of webpages. Update and edit web content and design as needed ensuring they are accessible and user-friendly.


  • Manage internal HR web editor training, provide support, and update training modules as needed.


Other :

  • Provide back-up webmaster services for UVA Careers Websites CMS supporting Recruitment Marketing team members.


  • Use Marketing Cloud platform to set-up and send emails, and create data extensions, supporting Communications team members.


Minimum Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma
Experience: Three years

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience


  • Three (3) or more years of experience in web data analytics role or equivalent


  • Three (3) or more years of experience in webmaster role or equivalent


  • Ability to provide website training to staff in area of expertise


  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy


  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team


  • Maintain a strong, positive commitment to customer service.

Position Details:

The position will remain open until filled but preference will be given to applications received by November 1, 2024. This is an exempt level, benefits -eligible position. The anticipated salary range is $75,000.00-85,000.00 commensurate with qualifications and experience. This position will not sponsor applicants for work visas. The selected applicant will be required to complete a background check prior to their first day of employment per University Policy. This position is fully remote except for required in-person UVA HR meetings approximately once per quarter; travel expenses reimbursed.

Physical Demands:

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
