Lab Specialist, Dermatology

The Department of Dermatolog y at the University of Virginia (UVA) School of Medicine invites applications for a Lab Specialist position to provide vital technical support and expertise in our research environment. This role involves performing complex laboratory and research tasks, adapting methods and procedures to meet specific research needs, and solving non-routine problems through advanced technical knowledge and skills. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with leading researchers in dermatology, contributing to important advances in the field. The successful candidate will be part of a team dedicated to excellence in research and development.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

• Conduct complex laboratory research and play a crucial role in advancing innovative research projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree
  
• Experience: At least three years of experience, which may include experience gained while a student.

This position will remain open until filled. The University will perform background checks on all new hires prior to employment. A completed pre-employment health screen is required for this position prior to employment.
