Communicates patient results clearly accurately and effectively to laboratory clients.
Serves as a resource to clients regarding test requirements,specimen submission and other laboratory policies and procedures.
Serves as a dispatch service for lab couriers.
Serves as trainer and role model for new staff.
Performs area-specific support activities.
In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
Clinical Lab Scientist:
Job Description
Performs patient and Quality Control (QC) testing, develops skills and maintains competency in assigned laboratory areas.
Maintains proper inventories and correctly uses supplies and reagents.
Monitors equipment performance, diagnoses malfunctions, and makes repairs or initiates service requests
Ensures a smooth transition to the next shift.
Demonstrates knowledge of quality, safety and compliance programs.
Investigates, documents and resolves routine problems or complaints.
In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
Position Compensation Range: $16.31 - $25.28 Hourly
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: HS Diploma or equivalent

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require walking some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from a NAACLS approved MLT program; Bachelor’s in Biology/Chemistry or related science Experience: No experience required Licensure: ASCP or equivalent certification within 24 months of hire
PHYSICAL DEMANDS Job requires standing and sitting for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, bending/stooping, reaching and repetitive motion. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to fumes chemicals, radiation, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
Only candidates with medical laboratory experience will be considered.
