The DGS Division of Real Estate Services (DRES) seeks to hire a real estate professional to serve as a Transaction Manager for Leased Properties.
DRES supports state departments, agencies, and institutions and their public missions by providing high quality real estate that is cost effective and functionally efficient. DRES also manages the Commonwealth's broad real estate portfolio, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, policies, procedures, guidelines, and best practices.
As part of the Leased Property team, this Transaction Manager supports DRES by ensuring that client agencies receive timely real estate services and are provided the facilities they need at the most economical cost. The Transaction Manager serves as the DGS DRES’ liaison with assigned client agencies, providing effective leadership and direction in developing and achieving strategic goals for acquisition, use, and disposal of real property. They provide expert advice and assist agencies in strategic planning, defining facility needs, selecting facilities that meet those needs, obtaining necessary services, conducting and negotiating transactions, and reviewing transactions and documents to make informed recommendations for approval by the Governor.

This position will be located in Richmond, Virginia and must report on-site. This position is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule (telework up to 2 days*/week) upon completion of an approved telework agreement.
