Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant - UVA Continnum Home Health

Under the direction and control of a Licensed Physical Therapist the Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant may assist the Physical Therapist in performing selected components of physical therapy intervention to include treatment measurement and data collection.

• Implements established therapy treatment plans and provides therapy interventions under the direction of a licensed therapist.
• Documents patient care according to professional standards and departmental guidelines.
• Actively participates in quality improvement program development and professional growth activities.
• In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
  

Position Compensation Range: $24.72 - $39.55 Hourly

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Associate’s Degree.

Experience: No experience required.

Licensure: Licensed to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant within the Commonwealth of Virginia and/or certification with the appropriate credentialing Board of the profession. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required. Valid Driver's License required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires frequently bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 50 - 100lbs. May be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
