~Shift Differential: Evening $3.50/Hour Weekday & Weekend
Nights $2.50/Hour Weekday & $4.00/Hour Weekend
The Virginia Center for Behavioral Rehabilitation (VCBR), located in Burkeville, VA is recruiting for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN). VCBR is a behavioral treatment center recognized for its excellence by securely housing and treating civilly committed sex offenders. VCBR provides recovery, opportunity and support to residents so they may safely return to their communities and is the only facility in the Commonwealth that provides such service.
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides quality nursing care to SVP adult residents within scope of licensure. This position will be an integral part of a team that strives to uphold the professional image of VCBR and its Nursing Department; utilizes knowledge base and experience to provide nursing care to residents; maintains a safe and therapeutic environment, using the least restrictive measures necessary; and supports the rights and dignity of the residents and their families.
Minimum Qualifications
~ Licensed (or license eligible) as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Virginia.
~ Knowledge of practical nursing, administering medication, psychiatric disorders, and resident social needs.
~ The ability to implement planned nursing care and to provide guidance to other staff as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
~ Experience in a psychiatric and/or correctional setting is preferred.
