Job Description
This all around position can be called upon to fill a variety of task, reporting to the Mail Services Supervisors at our South Main St, and Owen’s Hall locations. Daily duties include receiving inbound packages and USPS mail at the loading dock from a variety of shipping companies, sorting, scanning, labeling, and routing packages to our student indoor and outdoor delivery points on campus. Duties may also include stocking deliverable packages, scanning stock shelves, processing mail, and delivering packages at our customer service windows.
These are short term positions that run for 90 days, starting in July. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8am – 4:30pm, 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
• Ability to work as a departmental team member, comprehend and follow instructions, and adhere to a schedule in a self-motivated environment.
• Must be able to safely move and handle up to 70 pounds.
• Must be able to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb stairs and perform repetitive movements of reaching, lifting, sorting and carrying packages and boxes for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and temperature extremes.
• May be required to work additional hours/shifts to meet the needs of the department.
