Rappahannock Community College (RCC) is a two-year public institution of higher education in the Virginia Community College System (VCCS). Established in 1971 as a comprehensive community college, RCC serves the residents of Essex, Gloucester, King and Queen, King George, King William, Lancaster, Mathews, Middlesex, New Kent, Northumberland, Richmond, and Westmoreland counties with quality, accessible, and affordable educational opportunities.

Rappahannock Community College, a two-campus institution serving a rural 12-county area in the Chesapeake Bay region of Virginia, seeks applicants for Manufacturing Adjunct Instructor.

The successful candidate will be committed to academic excellence, continuous improvement through professional development, assessment, program and course development, and creating a collegial environment of civility, collaboration and open communication. The college strives for a faculty of content experts who are also knowledgeable about best practices, innovative strategies, and instructional technologies that support teaching and learning.

The manufacturing instructor will develop and teach courses to serve the needs of local manufacturers in technical subjects including Mechatronics, Industrial Safety, PLCs, Hydraulics/Pneumatics, Fluid Power, and Process Control. The successful candidate will be capable of mastering and teaching content using Amatrol class materials and equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:

Demonstrated knowledge of industrial manufacturing processes, considerable relevant experience. The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with people at all levels. Requires excellent relationship-building skills and professional approach, computer literacy, the ability to manage multiple projects, and creativity.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience teaching in a manufacturing setting. Associate Degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, or related field, or equivalent level of training/experience.
