Marketing & Advancement Specialist, VHCC Institutional Advancement Division: Hourly, wage Institutional Advancement Specialist position scheduled to work flexible schedule Monday through Friday approximately 29 hours per week with no fringe benefits. Pay range is $15.00-$20.00 per hour, depending upon qualifications.
Minimum Qualifications:
Responsibilities: Responsible for producing, promoting, and communicating a range of engagement activities that result in constituents developing new/deeper bonds with and a greater affection for the mission of the College and the Educational Foundation. The primary areas of responsibility for this position will be:
Assist the marketing department with the development/production of marketing & communications content including basic website editing, graphic design, collateral production support, photography/videography, digital screen and marquee announcements, and other key activities.
Support the work of the VHCC Foundation with donor/sponsor engagement, operations maintenance, and board assistance.
Assist with planning special events and event-day support.
Manage event and hospitality resource assets.
Provide general administrative support, as needed.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Demonstrated experience in social media or marketing production and engagement required.
Experience in administrative support, sales/marketing, or customer service required.

A minimum of education and/or experience equivalent to an associate’s degree in relevant field required.
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing including proper use of grammar, spelling, punctuation, editing and proof reading.
Work independently in a fast-paced environment, appropriately managing and prioritizing multiple projects.
Strong interpersonal, conversational, and presentational skills, demonstrating an emotional intelligence and situational awareness.
Previous experience with DonorPerfect or equivalent database system preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, Adobe Creative Suite, and similar software.
Maintain a high level of ethics and confidentiality in performance of all job duties.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders important to the college.
