Marketing & Advancement Specialist, VHCC Institutional Advancement Division:   Hourly, wage Institutional Advancement Specialist position scheduled to work flexible schedule Monday through Friday approximately 29 hours per week with no fringe benefits.  Pay range is $15.00-$20.00 per hour, depending upon qualifications.

• Assist the marketing department with the development/production of marketing & communications content including basic website editing, graphic design, collateral production support, photography/videography, digital screen and marquee announcements, and other key activities.
• Support the work of the VHCC Foundation with donor/sponsor engagement, operations maintenance, and board assistance.
• Assist with planning special events and event-day support.  
• Manage event and hospitality resource assets.
• Provide general administrative support, as needed.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

• Demonstrated experience in social media or marketing production and engagement required.
• Experience in administrative support, sales/marketing, or customer service required.

• A minimum of education and/or experience equivalent to an associate’s degree in relevant field required.
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing including proper use of grammar, spelling, punctuation, editing and proof reading.
• Work independently in a fast-paced environment, appropriately managing and prioritizing multiple projects. 
• Strong interpersonal, conversational, and presentational skills, demonstrating an emotional intelligence and situational awareness.
• Previous experience with DonorPerfect or equivalent database system preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, Adobe Creative Suite, and similar software.
• Maintain a high level of ethics and confidentiality in performance of all job duties.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders important to the college.
