Typical Duties
The Office of Student Engagement seeks an enthusiastic Marketing & Program Coordinator to assist our health sciences and professions students in their pursuit of a great experience on our campus. This role primarily focuses on the development of designated student programs and services but also creates and manages the unit’s marketing and communication efforts while providing office administration support.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with 2-3 years of experience in student programming and assessment
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the development, marketing, implementation and assessment of programs geared toward college students
Computer skills, including proficiency in navigating and managing databases
Detail oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Excellent customer service skills with effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders and constituents
Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or a commitment to do so as an employee at VCU
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in higher education, counseling, or related field with at least 1 year of experience in higher education setting
Experience with marketing and creating social media content utilizing various software programs (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite, etc.)
Proficient in REDCap and Google Forms
Experience with the implementation and assessment of campus-wide programs and events that include key stakeholders to include students, faculty, staff, and departments
