Eastern Shore Community College is a member of the Virginia Community College System. The College serves the residents of Accomack County and Northampton County as a two-year institution of higher learning. Operating under policies established by the State Board for Community Colleges and the Eastern Shore Community College Board, the college is financed primarily with state funds, supplemented by contributions from the two counties and the Eastern Shore Community College Foundation.
Adjunct faculty members are responsible for effectively planning and teaching courses in a classroom environment to students with a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences. All faculty members must be skilled in oral and written communications and must be able to work cooperatively with other staff members.

Minimum Qualifications:
* Associates Degree in Medical Assisting or Nursing required * Minimum of two years of experience in an ambulatory healthcare setting * Appropriate credentials of Certified Medical Assistant required
Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s Degree in the teaching field preferred * Successful teaching experience in post-secondary and/or vocational technical education preferred * Knowledge of and ability to integrate computer technology in the classroom and be able to use such technology to offer curriculum and instruction through distance delivery modes, as appropriate, preferred
