Mobility Technician (General Medicine)

Get experience as a Mobility Technician for the General Medicine Unit on 3 Central, working with professional therapy staff to provide optimal care for patients. This is a part-time position with benefits. UVA is one of America's best ranked hospitals, providing advanced medical care to patients in the commonwealth and beyond.

• Assists patients with mobilization as needs for optimal recovery during hospitalization.
• Assists therapy and inpatient staff with patient care as directed.
• Provides for a safe environment and safe delivery of care.
• Maintains necessary skills and competencies.
• In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

Position Compensation Range: $15.00 - $19.39 Hourly

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent.

Experience: No experience required. Relevant experience preferred.

Licensure: American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Job requires frequently bending/stooping/traveling. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 50 - 100lbs. May be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
