Instructs and Supervises veterinary students with technical skills. Provides primary patient care to Neurology patients. Schedules, performs or assists in the performance of regular and diagnostic and electrodiagnostic procedures. Assists with rehab procedures. Performs critical care nursing procedures in the Intensive Care Unit as directed by clinical faculty and instructs senior veterinary students in technical and manipulative skills related to ICU/Critical Care. On call for ICU coverage and covers ICU shifts including holidays. Assists in other areas of the hospital as directed by supervisor.
Required Qualifications
Licensed or Licensed eligible in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Veterinary Technician (LVT). Experience in critical care nursing in a veterinary medical setting; Working knowledge of basic nursing skills; ability to place intravenous; working knowledge of CPR; ability to understand and follow instructions; excellent communications and interpersonal skills; rabies prophylaxis will be required (provided by employer).

At least 2 years in a veterinary clinical setting.
