Mountain Empire Community College is a comprehensive two-year college serving residents of Lee, Scott, Wise, and Dickenson counties, and the City of Norton. Mountain Empire Community College invites applications for adjunct instructors to teach Health Sciences classes in various areas. We are seeking applicants available for on-campus, online, and clinical instruction for daytime and/or evenings and/or weekends. Salary is based on the academic preparation and work experience of the applicant and is determined according to the VCCS Adjunct Pay Schedule. Adjunct faculty members are responsible for effectively planning and teaching courses in a classroom/virtual/clinical environment to students with a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's in teaching field or Associate's in the teaching field with demonstrated competency in teaching field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Teaching experience in college-level courses. Experience with online learning. Strong written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated ability to incorporate technology routinely into instructional and faculty responsibilities. Demonstrated ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds.
