An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Office Services Specialist to join our team. This position serves as the first point of contact to the Thomas E. Cook Counseling Center by answering phones, checking in clients, greeting and directing visitors, scheduling appointments, and responding to inquiries by students, faculty, outside providers and parents regarding our services. This person will maintain electronic medical records for clients as well as appointment schedules for staff psychologists, counselors, nursing staff and psychiatrists.
Successful candidate must have general office support experience in an academic or professional environment; proficiency with standard office computer functions such as word processing, spreadsheets, email and internet navigation; experience with current office software such as Microsoft Office; experience working with confidential materials and ability to multitask in a busy work environment; strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills a must.
Previous receptionist experience in a business, counseling or medical environment; working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Outlook, and Excel software; familiarity with Banner or other relational database software; knowledge of University policies. Desire to work with a student body that is diverse in respect to socio-economic status, race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, ability status and other dimensions.
The successful candidate will be required to have a criminal conviction check.
