PARALEGAL/LEGAL ASSISTANT

GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS & TRANSACTIONS DIVISION
DUTIES: This is a paralegal position that will serve as support the for the Government Operations & Transactions Division, that includes the Technology and Procurement, Construction, Environmental, Financial Law & Government Support, Real Estate & Land Use, and Transportation Sections. This is a newly created position that is expected to work closely with experienced paralegals in the Division and with attorneys in the Sections on transactions, legislation, regulatory and litigation matters. There is a focus on preparing reports, cover memos, and initial document drafting.
Minimum Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS: This position is for a highly motivated and educated professional seeking training in working with legal aspects of all varieties of government transactions. Attention to detail, excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure and making appropriate adjustments, are required. Initially, it is expected that this position will float among the Sections in the Division and ultimately be assigned to one or two Sections and be available for providing support to the remaining Sections. Applicants must have a demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team. Proficiency in all Microsoft. Office Products and Adobe Professional software is strongly recommended
This position is located in Richmond, Virginia, and has initial reporting responsibility to the Division Deputy.
