The Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority (Virginia ABC) is currently seeking three candidates for the Payroll Support Specialist position.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Accurately process the Authority’s payroll, benefits, leave and short-term disability (SDP/Worker’s Compensation program).
  • Prepare periodic reconciliations, audits and reviews of payroll, benefits and leave transactions.
  • Process unemployment claims and complete employee verifications.
  • Maintain a strong customer service ethic and a professional demeanor.
  • Maintain confidentiality with employee records.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in business, Accounting, or a related discipline and/or equivalent work experience


Preferred Qualifications

  • At least two years of payroll support
  • Experience with the Commonwealth of Virginia payroll processes
